Ir. (Dr.) Hj. Ahmad Zaidee Laidin, aged
60, was appointed as non-independent, non-executive
Director on 1 August 2002.
Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Hj. Ahmad Zaidee holds a
Diploma (Professional) in Electrical Engineering
from Brighton College of Technology (now
known as the University of Brighton), and
a Masters of Science degree in Technological
Economics from the University of Stirling.
He was made a Doctor of University by the
University of Stirling and conferred an
Honorary Doctor of Technology by Oxford
Brookes University, an Honorary Doctor of
Letters by Manchester Metropolitan University
and an Honorary Professorship by Napier
University. He is a Fellow of the Institute
of Engineers Malaysia.
Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Hj. Ahmad Zaidee joined
the National Electricity Board [now known
as Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)] as a Distribution
Engineer in 1967, after serving an apprenticeship
at the General Electric Company and the
North-Western Electricity Board, United
Kingdom. From 1973 to 1978, he served as
an in-house Consultant, before being appointed
Deputy Director and subsequently, Director
of the NEB Training Centre. The following
year, he was appointed Corporate Organisational
and Manpower Planner, and in 1998, Director
of Management Services and Development.
From 1990 to 1993, he served as Deputy General
Manager Corporate Services (Management Development
Services). In 1994, he was made a Director
of Institut Teknologi Mara, now known as
Universiti Teknologi MARA or UiTM, and two
years later, became its first Rector. In
1999, he was appointed the first Vice-Chancellor
of UiTM.
Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Hj. Ahmad Zaidee is the
Chairman of SIRIM Berhad and MMC Engineering
Group Berhad and a board member of Edaran
Otomobil Nasional Berhad.

Ir
Noorul Khairi has over 20 years experience
in the oil and gas industry including fabrication
and design consultancy. His experience covers
company management and operation, project
management and structural design work. He
started his career as a Structural Engineer
in a fabrication yard before joining the
engineering consultancy line. He worked
with Brown & Root and McDermott International
prior to joining MMC Oil & Gas Engineering
in 1989.
He graduated cum
laude from University of Northrop, Los
Angeles in Civil Engineering in 1986 and
subsequently obtained his Masters in Structural
Engineering from Chalmers University of
Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1997
under the Swedish Government scholarship.
Ir Noorul Khairi is a Corporate Member
of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia
(IEM), Member of International Association
for Bridge and Structural Engineering
(IABSE), and Member of Civilingenjorforbundet,
Sweden. He is also a registered Professional
Engineer with Board of Engineers, Malaysia
(BEM). His main field of interest is finite
element analysis (FEA) and fatigue of
offshore structures
Presently, Noorul is
the CEO of MMC Oil & Gas Engineering
and he also serves as a Director on the
Board of MMC Oil & Gas Engineering
Sdn Bhd.

Ir Dzulaidin Tasrin Othman
joined the Board of Directors on 26 June
2003.
Ir Dzulaidin Tasrin graduated from New
Mexico State University, Las Cruces, USA
with B Sc of Mechanical Engineering in
September 1987, and, minor in MathematicsIr
Dzulaidin Tasrin is a registered Professional
Engineer with Board of Engineers, Malaysia
(BEM) and also a Corporate Member of the
Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).
Ir Dzulaidin Tasrin started his career
as a Management Trainee in 1987 when he
joined AY Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd which
was a fabricator of oil & gas offshore
platforms. In 1989 he joined Brown &
Root as a Mechanical Engineer. His career
in MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd
started in 1985. He was the Mechanical
Engineering Manager in the years of 1998
until 2004.
Ir Dzulaidin Tasrin has more than 19 years
experience which includes project management,
design engineering and construction of
offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities.
His major field of interest is the mechanical
design of pressure vessels.
Presently, Dzulaidin
is the Manager of Engineering Department
and he also serves as a Director on the
Board of MMC Oil & Gas Engineering

Zaine binti Abdul Karim

Ir. Zaine binti Abdul Karim
joined the Board of Director in April,
2006.
She graduated from University of Nebraska,
Lincoln, NE, USA in 1986 with degree of
B.Sc in Electrical Engineering.
Ir. Zaine is a registered Professional
Engineer with Board of Engineers, Malaysia
(BEM), and also a member of Institution
of Engineer, Malaysia (IEM)
Ir.Zaine has more than 19 years working
experience. She started her career in
Oil & Gas industry since 1987, establishing
herself as Technical Executive in the
fabrication yards with MSE and SSE, in
Pasir.Gudang, Johor.
She joined MMC Oil & Gas Engineering
Sdn. Bhd. in early 1991 as an Electrical
Engineer.
Her experience covers both management
and technical activities. Currently, she
is assuming a responsibility as Lead /
Senior Electrical Engineer. She has been
involved in the design of significant
numbers of onshore refineries and offshore
platforms, both locally and overseas.
