With ten years and more of procurement management
leadership experience, Johari’s career in procurement
progressed from an Expeditor – Senior Buyer
– Procurement Manager allowing him to be well-versed
with the full dynamics of procurement. This career
progression has allowed him to manage complex multi-million
dollar budgets, time-critical projects using his strong
interpersonal and communication skills to work in
a team-oriented work environment.
Johari has been fortunate to work
with the market leaders in the Oil & Gas Industry
in Malaysia which has given him a depth of experience
with local, regional and international procurement
and have extensive experience to bring about cost
effective procurement strategies. Johari has, over
the years involved in the development of Project Procurement
Strategy & Management on major projects namely
the: The Melut Basin Terminal Facility (Bashayer 2,
Port Sudan); the Bunga Raya E Platform and South Angsi
A Platform which involves the procurement of materials
and services such as piping and fittings, cables,
valves, electrical items & etc
Johari’s ability to work with
a diverse array of computer tools has allowed him
to embrace IT as an effective global sourcing and
procurement management tool.
