Ir. Julina binti Bidin is the Head of Instrument Department and a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia. She has more than 20 years engineering experience in the petrochemicals and oil & gas industry. She started her career as a management trainee with Sime Darby in 1989 after completing her degree in B(Sc) (Hons) in Control, Instrumentation and System Engineering in 1989. She developed her engineering skill with Sime Darby when she was attached with Sime Worley Engineering which involved with oil and gas industry in designing the offshore platforms. During her attachment with Sime Worley, she was given the opportunity to be involved in construction and stationed at Tanjung Tuan Power Plant Station to assist with instrumentation issues. She later joined MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd towards end of 1996 as a Senior Instrumentation Engineer. After a few years stint with MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd., she joined Ranhill Worley in 1998.
In January 2000, she rejoined MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. as a Senior Instrumentation Engineer and successfully leaded a number of large oil and gas related projects. In 2010, she was promoted to the position of Head of Instrument Department. She is responsible for the productivity and quality of deliverables from the Instrument Discipline. Other functions would include planning of man-hours, training and the development of the instruments personnel.
Ir. Julina binti Bidin has a degree in B(Sc) (Hons) in Control, Instrumentation and System Engineering from City University, London, United Kingdom. She is a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a certified professional engineer.
