Head of Commercial & Business Development / Operations Manager Dato' Haji Mohd Nizam bin Abdul Malik
Dato' Hj. Mohd Nizam bin Abdul MalikM.M.I.M. is a member of the Management Committee and the Head of Commercial and Business Development at MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd.. He has over 22 years of experience in engineering, operations and project management in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and power sectors. Initially trained as an electrical engineer with the Property Services Agency (PSA) at the Ministry of Environment in Westminster, London in 1989, he later joined MOTOROLA in 1990 before joining MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. office in Kuala Lumpur.
He joined the ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) Power Generation Group in Kuala Lumpur in 1994 and was assigned to ABB engineering centre near Zurich, Switzerland for over a year. He then moved to several ABB construction sites before returning to ABB Power Generation Kuala Lumpur office where he was promoted to the position of Engineering Manager for the C&I Department. He subsequently joined Foxboro (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in 1999 and successfully managed several large power, petrochemical and oil & gas related E&C projects. He was the Project Director and Operations Manager at Foxboro before rejoining MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in 2007.
Dato' Hj. Mohd Nizam bin Abdul Malik M.M.I.M. has an MBA (Finance) and B.Eng.(Honours) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from IIUM and The University of Glamorgan in Wales, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
