MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMCOG) was selected as one of three finalists for the MINDA project in the Project Performance category for the Be Inspired Awards competition.
MINDA is the acronym for MMCOG INtegrated Data Administration system which is an electronic project management system implemented in 2013 to manage MMCOG’s project documentation, document review cycle and progress reporting in an online web based system. MMCOG engaged Bentley Systems (a software Vendor) to design and implement a customized system to meet MMCOG engineering design business processes .
The Be Inspired Awards is a global competition organized annually by Bentley to reward companies which used Bentley software products to advance innovation and best practices in design, engineering, construction, operations and project delivery.
MMCOG was one of two Malaysian companies selected as finalists in one of the eighteen (18) categories , the other company was Tenaga Nasional Berhad in the Asset Performance Management category. MMCOG was represented by TJ Sow, Assistant General Manager of QHSE at the finalists’ presentations at the Year of Infrastructure 2014 Conference in London , UK in November 2014 . The award for the Project Performance category was eventually won by J.L. Patterson from the United States.
