MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd participated in the Kuala Lumpur Rat Race, which was held on Tuesday 6th Sept 2005. MMC O&G was represented by Shaharel Shafiei (CEO), Mohd Tahir Masrom (GM, Development & Commercial), Noorul Khairi (GM, Engineering), TJ Sow (Manager, QA), Khairul Muzammil (Manager, Finance) and Izian Zamzuri (Deputy Manager, Human Resources).
The Kuala Lumpur Rat Race is a once-a-year opportunity for top executives and office workers to come together in a noble way to do their bit for charity. The annual race which covers a distance of 1km for CEO’s and 4.5kms for executives and others around Kuala Lumpur Financial District. Participants will run in their office attire and some participants also come in costumes unique to their company or nature of business.
The organisers for the race this year are The Edge and Bursa Malaysia. There were 490 participants – CEOs, Executives and Management from 98 teams from 56 participating organizations. Twenty eight (28) CEOs participated in the race this year. A total amount of RM821, 000 was raised from the race, MMC O&G is proud to have contributed to this worthy cause. In a press release statement, En. Shaharel said “The race is a noble effort by the organizers. Apart from being able to donate to charity while fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities, the race also provides an avenue for MMC O&G to promote itself to the public as a caring company”.
