As part of MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMC O&G) ongoing plans to market its services overseas, the company was one of the exhibitors in the Oil & Gas Show (OGS) 2005 held in Dubai, UAE from 7th – 9th Nov 2005. MMC O&G was one of the companies invited by MATRADE to participate in the show. Rusli Abu Bakar (Manager, Structural Engineering) and TJ Sow (Manager, Quality Assurance) represented the company at the show. There were seven (7) other Malaysian companies, which exhibited their products and services. There were altogether 368 exhibitors from all over the world.
The objectives and benefits for MMC O&G in taking part in the show are :
MMC O&G recorded more than 100 visitors during the exhibition. The visitors were from Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America and other parts of Asia. They include agents (wanting to represent or JV with us), operators, insurance agents, media, vendors, transport and logistics companies, EPCC Contractors and design consultants.
It has been a successful exhibition for MMC O&G as the company is now following up with some of the visitors, in particular operating companies, for potential business opportunities in the Middle East. With the establishment of a regional office in Doha, Qatar recently, MMC O&G is poised for further expansion in the oil & gas market in the Middle East and African region.
