MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd is proud to be the award winner of the inaugural Technology Business Review Award 2006 for excellence in the oil & gas industry. The awards were presented at a gala dinner graced by industry leaders and local and foreign dignitaries at the Palace of Golden Horses on 15th Sep 2006. The Chairman of MMC O&G, Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Haji Ahmad Zaidee Bin Laidin received the award on behalf of the company. The event was also attended by En. Shaharel Shafiei, CEO, and the senior management team of the company.
The spotlight were shined on companies that have innovations, strategies, dynamism and fluid mobility of change and adaptation that spur progress not to mention the people and management of people that becomes the basic underlying success of any business. The objective of the Awards is to give recognition and honour to those companies that have displayed the utmost commitment to continuous innovation. Furthermore, the Awards are aimed at encouraging Malaysian businesses to continue to excel in technology-based solutions either through improving current technologies and solutions or adapting new ones. The companies that do so have helped raise the standards of competitiveness for their industries and in so doing have helped raised Malaysia international competitiveness rating to greater heights.

The nominees for the Awards were chosen based on a series of criteria, which included financial performance, innovations in products and services, adoption of new technologies, customer relationship management, corporate governance and compliance, human resource development and corporate citizenship. MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd has shown that it has met or surpassed the stringent criteria used in the evaluation process, standing tall amongst the excellent organizations of the other industries. The Award is also a timely recognition for all the hard work and efforts put in by all staff in the past years to continue to push the company to greater heights.
Some of the other companies that won included multinationals such as Siemens, Malaysia (Telecommunications) , HSBC Bank (Banking and Finance - Foreign Bank), IBM Malaysia (IT Innovation) and Visa International (Electronic Payment System) . Other local companies that won included Public Bank (Banking and Finance & Local Bank), University of Malaya (Education Management), Kelang Multi Terminal (Logistics) and Limkokwing University (Multimedia Education).
MMC Oil & Gas believes that "Excellence" is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.
