PROVISION OF ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT
& CONSTRUCTION (EPC) OF JACKET & TOPSIDES FOR BELUMUT-A
PLATFORM
NEWFIELD as Operator is developing Block PM323 offshore Peninsular
Malaysia. The block partners are NEWFIELD and CARIGALI, via
a 60:40 joint venture PSC agreement.
Two fields are identified within this block (i.e. East Belumut
and Chermingat). FEED engineering has been performed to obtain
the most optimized drilling/production facilities to tap the
reserves from these two fields. The development fields are located
at Peninsular Malaysia offshore block PM323 in approximately
65–75m of water. The East Belumut Field is located approximately
30km East of the existing Tinggi-A Platform. The platform shall
be designed to a 20-year design life. The schedule for first
oil from East Belumut field is on or before 01 January 2008.
East Belumut-A (BEL-A) is a drilling/process/accommodations
platform for handling production from up to 20 wells on the
platform itself plus incoming production from Chermingat (CHR-A)
located approximately 20 km to the northeast. BEL- A has a design
capacity for 50,000 bfpd plus compression facilities to handle
60 mmscfd. The platform will be a four-pile design with a skirt
pile support jacket structure. The jacket will support an integrated
deck with process, compression and utilities. The design includes
support for incoming and export pipeline risers, produced water
treatment and disposal, boat landings and a 30-man accommodations
module. The topside structure will be an integrated deck supporting
three deck levels, heli-deck, flare boom and a crane.
NEWFIELD MALAYSIA has invited several EPCC Contractors to develop
Belumut-A Jacket & Topsides. Ramunia Fabricators Sdn Bhd
has been awarded to develop the Belumut–A Platform and
they have invited MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd as their
Detailed Design Consultant. MMC Oil & Gas will provide design
engineering services, project management, technical coordination,
secretarial, cost control services and provision of experienced
personnel to perform the required services.

PROVISION OF FEED DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR BINTULU ONSHORE RECEIVING FACILITIES (BORF)
The Bintulu Onshore Receiving Facilities (BORF) is designed
to receive, compress, dehydrate and chill saturated gas from
three offshore fields, Golok (Golok Barat and Golok Central),
Serampang and Merapuh. The gas contains relatively small amounts
of condensate and water at the facility inlet as the bulk of
the liquids have been removed offshore. The DCQ (Daily Contract
Quantity) for the BORF is 250 MMscfd, with an export MDQ (Maximum
Design Quantity) of 360 MMscfd.
At the inlet to BORF the process gas / liquids stream will be
separated in an Inlet Separator, The gas will be compressed
before being routed to the TEG dehydration system. The compression
section will consist of reciprocating machines. After the gas
has been dried and chilled, it is exported to MLNG where it
is metered via fiscal gas metering at the required maximum delivery
pressure of 72 barg at MLNG-3 tie-in point
The liquids from the Inlet Separator and the separated condensate
from Chilled Gas Separator are routed to a 3-phase LP Separator
where condensate and water are separated. The condensate is
sent to a degassing boot and then to the storage tank where
it is dewatered and exported by pipeline to offshore. The produced
water is sent to another storage tank and then to a water treatment
facility before it is disposed off to an outfall via ocean outfall.
