PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) is the operator of the Grissik-Duri (Sumatera, Indonesia) and Grissik-Singapore gas pipelines. The natural gases are produced from ConocoPhillips Blocks at Grissik, Caltex Block at Duri and PetroChina Block at Jabung. The natural gas is gathered, treated and then transported by 28-inch pipeline for sale to Singapore via Batam. Due to increase of sale gas flow, TGI will install a booster compressor station at Jabung, which is located in the province of Jambi, Sumatera, Indonesia to boost up the pipeline pressure.
A consortium of companies led by MMCOG was awarded the EPCC contract. The project scope constitutes gas booster compressor and utilities as well as accommodation for the operators. The Facility are designed for up to 4 numbers of Solar Taurus 70 Gas Turbine Compressors including Control Building housing the integrated DCS and ESD system (also known as ICSS System) and a utilities facility supplying plant and instrument air, water treatment system, fire fighting and detection system. The potable water is from the bore hole from underground wells and the electrical power supply will solely from the plant generator sets. There will be three (3) gas engines driven generator sets and one (1) emergency diesel engine driven generator set to supply power to the facilities.
The accommodation building with all amenities such as dining hall, laundry room, gymnasium, tennis court etc will also be provided.
The project is scheduled to be completed and commissioned by December 2008
