Hjh. Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha is the General Manager of projects in MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. and also the first elected female President of the Malaysian Oil and Gas Services Council (MOGSC). Hjh. Sharifah truly believes that there is so much that a group of women positively can accomplish together towards creating a better environment for our future generation. She is also believes in the saying that girls compete with each other but women empower one another.

In past 27 years, she has been involved in MMC Oil and Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd. from Project Engineer to her position now General Manager in Project Management Services. Her portfolio includes involvement with Conceptual Studies, Front End Engineering and Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering, Fabrication/Construction and Hookup and Commissioning, EPCC and EPCIC projects inside and outside of Malaysia, projects ranging in complexity and project values from a few hundred thousand to hundred million Malaysian Ringgit.

As a president of MOGSC (Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council) she believes being more efficient and innovative could tackle the fall in oil price. According to her, Oil and Gas Industry not only have to be able to survive this storm together (stakeholders and Industry) but it needs to also be able to dance in the rain. There is no reason for the industry to falter, if all relevant parties sit down, listen and continue to work together, hand-in-hand towards sustainable future. In Malaysia, MOGSC will continue to play its role, bridging the communication between the stakeholders and the industry expectations vice-versa via various means, be it engagements sessions, seminars and forum.
