MMCOG participated in the MOGSC-Meet-Member session, held on Monday 18th March 2019, at Chorus hotel Kuala Lumpur.
The-Meet-The-Member session is held every month by MOGSC (Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council) for the benefit of their 500+ company members, to keep the industry abreast with developments within the Oil and Gas industry. This time, MOGSC had invited Tn Haji Khairol Anuar Shukri (Head of PETRONAS Group Technical Solution, Project Delivery & Technology Department) and his team, to share his “Overview of PETRONAS GTS”. This session was attended by MOGSC EXCOs and attracted more than 150 participants, professionals in the oil & gas industry.
Some key players spotted at this event were Seamog, Draeger, Aker Solutions, Deleum Services, Sapura Energy Berhad, Handal Engineering, Toyo Engineering Corporation, Petrofac RNZ, MISC Berhad and many others.
MOGSC President, Ts. Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha, who is also the CEO of MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd, delivered the opening remark.
PD&T was formed in April 2016 as a part of PETRONAS’ Groupwide transformation and they combine the strength of Technology and Engineering (T&E) division, Technical Global (TG), Group Supply Chain (GSCM), and parts of MPM.
Oil & Gas industry professionals gathered to hear Tn Hj Khairol speak of their focus for this year and how the industry can support PETRONAS GTS.
The event aims to provide clarity on Project Delivery & Technology (PD&T), specifically PETRONAS GTS, on their roles and focus areas and also their interaction with Industry. Tn Haji Khairol also highlighted that PETRONAS has a 3-pronged strategy to Expand Their Core Business, Maximise Cash Generators, and Step Out to build capabilities in new businesses, including New Energy
